At Vivid Health, we have an interest in babies and infants. Our chiropractors have completed post graduate seminars on children and Chiropractic. Dr Tori has completed her Diplomate in Chiropractic Paediatrics which is a 2 year post graduate qualification.

Many parents choose to bring their children and babies to a chiropractor. This is a significant time for development of the musculoskeletal system and for establishing connections between the brain and the body.

We use techniques that are specifically modified to be gentle and appropriate for each child’s age, size, and level of development. Unlike adult techniques, chiropractic adjustments for newborns look like relaxing stretches. Our Chiropractors love working with children and are able to engage with children to make the experience fun and enjoyable.

It is common for us to see children of varying musculoskeletal concerns such as:

  • Discomfort or difficulty with changing clothes
  • Discomfort lying on changing table
  • Difficulty with tummy time
  • Dislike of car seats
  • Head preference to one side, always turns their head to one way, or doesn’t like to turn their head one way
  • Dislike being held on one side verses the other e.g., when feeding
  • Head asymmetry/ Plagiocephaly
  • Milestone delays or checks- click here to see if your child is hitting milestones

Sometimes parents have concerns that are not listed above or have been referred by another health care professional, family member or friend for other reasons. If this is you, please feel free to contact us as to whether chiropractic care is the appropriate choice for your child.

We keep up to date with techniques and current scientific literature in order to provide your child with the best possible care.

We spend time talking to schools, childcare centres, and mother’s groups about how to keep their children healthy.

We believe happy kids are healthy kids and healthy kids are happy kids!
